Spectators: 7108 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1540, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nusrettin Talay started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Samsunspor's Şevket Oktan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vedat Alpman. Vedat Alpman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 12 played minutes ÜZÜMSPOR FK got a freekick which was hit by Kadir Tublek. After a defensive mix-up in Samsunspor's zone, Nusrettin Talay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İsmail Orhun Seyfi came out of the goal and Nusrettin Talay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nusrettin Talay hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Samsunspor's Ahmet Ömür Nebahattin suffered a sprained foot after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when ÜZÜMSPOR FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reha Akbaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akif Göktürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alper Akyol struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Vedat Alpman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsunspor. In the 35th match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahir Kadem to maneuver through the defense. Asım İhlas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute of the match, Sakut Özyuva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vedat Alpman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. İsmail Orhun Seyfi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nusrettin Talay in the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Saip Öktemer collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Nusrettin Talay kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şevket Oktan to strike the kick off in the second half. Orçun Mutluay's late challenge caught a Samsunspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orçun Mutluay helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ÜZÜMSPOR FK's Orçun Mutluay got a free kick in the 56th minute. İsmail Orhun Seyfi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Asım İhlas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. Asım İhlas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmail Orhun Seyfi having to interfere. Vedat Alpman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özen Serol in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to ÜZÜMSPOR FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ecevit Sebati hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match Utkan Tezveren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vedat Alpman skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Alper Akyol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsunspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alper Akyol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Akif Göktürk was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. ÜZÜMSPOR FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 83 played minutes Samsunspor got a freekick which was hit by Şevket Oktan. Samsunspor were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ÜZÜMSPOR FK to leave the ground with a draw.
