After a defensive mix-up in yaasar.spor.klb's zone, Veli Durak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şenel Yesari came out of the goal and Veli Durak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Veli Durak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Veli Durak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Şenel Yesari having to make a save. When Veli Durak came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kadıköy JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veli Durak couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Hakkı Hamurcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ertaç Kabak shot from long distance in the 48th minute, but Tolga Özyay was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After some careless play in the Kadıköy JK defense, Tayyip Mümtaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tolga Özyay. The Kadıköy JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tolga Özyay should have stopped the shot.
