Gürol Uz's late challenge caught a Kadıköy JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gürol Uz helped the player get up and apologised. Gürol Uz hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Veli Durak in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Demirhan Yiğitoğlu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yakup Kadri Sefir received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Demirhan Yiğitoğlu came out and tried to block the shot, but Yakup Kadri Sefir slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. If Yakup Kadri Sefir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demirhan Yiğitoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veli Durak, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Yakup Kadri Sefir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demirhan Yiğitoğlu. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. The supporters of Kadıköy JK booed when Giant Killing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürol Uz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Güray Usluer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Resulhan İpekçi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Veli Durak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Veli Durak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demirhan Yiğitoğlu having to interfere. Kadıköy JK's Veli Durak couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Giant Killing. In the 70th minute, Veli Durak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kadıköy JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veli Durak in the 76th minute of play forced Giant Killing's goalkeeper Demirhan Yiğitoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kadıköy JK's Tolga Özyay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resulhan İpekçi in the 81st minute of play. Demirhan Yiğitoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yakup Kadri Sefir in the 88th minute of the match. Mustafa Necati Salim made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kadıköy JK's Hayyam Reyyan. For all the effort they put into the match, the Giant Killing players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kadıköy JK.
