Bayezit Taştekin scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demirhan Yiğitoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Can Ganim in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demirhan Yiğitoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bayezit Taştekin came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bayezit Taştekin couldn't finish the play. Demirhan Yiğitoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Baykam Saygur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gürol Ergintuğ. Bayezit Taştekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demirhan Yiğitoğlu having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Giant Killing's Onur Ağcabey seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Onur Ağcabey the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Giant Killing protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Onur Ağcabey had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 34th minute, one of Giant Killing:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Giant Killing. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for GALATASARAY. Rahim Özboga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Demirhan Yiğitoğlu. 1-2. After 39 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Ersan Yağızalp. Can Ganim struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. GALATASARAY's Rahim Özboga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Giant Killing.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Can Ganim to strike the kick off in the second half. Demirhan Yiğitoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Can Ganim in the 57th minute of the match. Bayezit Taştekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute.
