With an extended leg and a bit of luck Necaettin Yalgın prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in dardanelfc's zone, Esen Okdemir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Necaettin Yalgın came out of the goal and Esen Okdemir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Esen Okdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akpinar played a much better game than dardanelfc and deserved their victory. The dardanelfc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
