Abdulmelik İmge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selmi Ahmetoğlu in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Gürol Tümerdem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hüsamettin Vefakar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Abdulmelik İmge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Asbuzu getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ahmet Harun Okdemir made the kick off in the second half. If Ahmet Harun Okdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selmi Ahmetoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 66 minutes into the game, Asbuzu's Ahmet Harun Okdemir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdulmelik İmge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abdulmelik İmge made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ahmet Harun Okdemir sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, İstanbul FC's Fethi Numan got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Ahmet Harun Okdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bora Arpacı struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Fatih Sefer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for İstanbul FC. Bora Arpacı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fatih Sefer having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Faruk Kavaş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. İstanbul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Asbuzu the free kick. After 84 played minutes İstanbul FC got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Kavaş. Selmi Ahmetoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulmelik İmge having to interfere. The İstanbul FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Asbuzu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
