The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Gölköy's goal looked a bit too open when Cahit Salti came free, but Semih Onar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ahmet Yahya Sururi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gölköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Yahya Sururi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Polat Eraltay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Müfit Cerit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Yahya Sururi struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Polat Eraltay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gölköy. In the 31st minute Müfit Cerit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Polat Eraltay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polat Eraltay made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ahmet Yahya Sururi sent off a good shot on target. Polat Eraltay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müfit Cerit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Yahya Sururi got free with Polat Eraltay in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cevdet Tolgan hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cahit Salti was the one to do the kick off. Müfit Cerit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Polat Eraltay having to interfere. If Ahmet Yahya Sururi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Kasım Öztekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Polat Eraltay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Yahya Sururi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Müfit Cerit came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Gölköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müfit Cerit couldn't finish the play. Serhan Saye could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Semih Onar made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in KaRaCaLı's zone, Ahmet Yahya Sururi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Polat Eraltay came out of the goal and Ahmet Yahya Sururi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cahit Salti in the 89th minute of play forced Gölköy's goalkeeper Semih Onar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Polat Eraltay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müfit Cerit, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Müfit Cerit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KaRaCaLı's Polat Eraltay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Yahya Sururi in the 100th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the KaRaCaLı players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gölköy.
