But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gazanfer Yazganalp couldn't finish the play. Edip Velican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Fatih Erez in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to ERKİLETSPOR getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fedai Uma hit a great ball. In the 18th match minute, ERKİLETSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgun Öktüre to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Edip Velican successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Özcan Uğurcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gümüşhane SK's Mehmet Fatih Erez in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Fatih Erez in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edip Velican prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edip Velican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Asım Baycan in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesur Başaydın to make the kick off. Mehmet Fatih Erez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gümüşhane SK's Gazanfer Yazganalp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ERKİLETSPOR. ERKİLETSPOR's Edip Velican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Asım Baycan in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Fatih Erez in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edip Velican saved ERKİLETSPOR from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Olgun Öktüre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lütfullah Koca. The goal made the score 4-1. The Gümüşhane SK fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Gümüşhane SK's Mehmet Fatih Erez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gümüşhane SK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
