After a rather tough play, Özgüzeldere's İsmail Hakkı Er got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdi Saygın Kutberk to make the kick off. Emin Gazel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Aşkın Öğeturk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aşkın Öğeturk came out of the goal and Abdi Saygın Kutberk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aşkın Öğeturk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Saygın Kutberk in the 65th minute of the match. If Emin Gazel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Çağrı Vefi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Seyhan Onuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
