In the 4th minute Orhan Aksungur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Nani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orhan Aksungur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Nani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Osmanlı's Atay Zeki got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kütahyaspor's Aktan Canal got a free kick in the 18th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Paşa Ali Rahmi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Münir Afşaroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Fetih İrgun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Fetih İrgun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Münir Afşaroğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Atay Zeki took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Nani. Luís Nani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Fetih İrgun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Münir Afşaroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Orhan Aksungur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Nani having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Osmanlı's Orhan Aksungur dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

Münir Afşaroğlu was a little too slow when Fetih İrgun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 4-3. In the 61st minute, Atay Zeki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Necip Fazıl Selman struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Luís Nani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osmanlı. Atay Zeki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Necip Fazıl Selman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paşa Ali Rahmi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Münir Afşaroğlu made a huge save. Münir Afşaroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fetih İrgun in the 90th minute of play. Özgün Özbay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the game, one of Osmanlı:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
