AĞRI SSK's Günay Başeskioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behçet Sabit in the 13th minute of play. When Suat Kartekin fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AĞRI SSK's protests and gave Suat Kartekin a yellow card for diving instead. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kafkas Kartalı reached it. 17 minutes into the game, one of Kafkas Kartalı:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If İhsan Ahmetoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play, Kafkas Kartalı's Behçet Sabit made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Günay Başeskioğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute of the match Kuzey Yurday shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Günay Başeskioğlu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Günay Başeskioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arman Reis in the 37th minute of the match. Behçet Sabit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Günay Başeskioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kafkas Kartalı booed when AĞRI SSK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halis Uçkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kafkas Kartalı's Tibet Çetinay couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AĞRI SSK. If Arman Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arman Ülken made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Kafkas Kartalı's Mehmet Tekmil got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tibet Çetinay placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Günay Başeskioğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Orhan Erenoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arman Reis got free with Günay Başeskioğlu in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Günay Başeskioğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Behçet Sabit in the 84th minute of play. AĞRI SSK's Günay Başeskioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Orhan Erenoz in the 86th minute of play. Behçet Sabit struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Günay Başeskioğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kafkas Kartalı. With his leg Günay Başeskioğlu managed to avoid a goal in the 100thth minute, when Kafkas Kartalı's Arman Reis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
