Battal Çoğaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuna Özbil having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, TokatspoRize's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Kuter came free, but İsmail Orhun Cebel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İsmail Orhun Cebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yasin İlcan in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Ahmet Bülent Kuter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsmail Orhun Cebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Bülent Kuter in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İsmail Orhun Cebel saved TokatspoRize from getting behind. Gaffar Özaktuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmail Orhun Cebel having to interfere. If Ahmet Bülent Kuter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İsmail Orhun Cebel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Savaşer Sönmezalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Savaşer Sönmezalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsmail Orhun Cebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match Galatasaray got a corner. TokatspoRize's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mehmet Çağrı Siret ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mehmet Çağrı Siret made a great header on Galatasaray's corner, it was just that TokatspoRize's İsmail Orhun Cebel managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience cheered when Mehmet Çağrı Siret's long shot passed İsmail Orhun Cebel's right side. It was 0-1, 23 minutes into the match. Savaşer Sönmezalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İsmail Orhun Cebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Bülent Kuter in the 34th minute of play. When Gaffar Özaktuğ came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaffar Özaktuğ couldn't finish the play. Savaşer Sönmezalp struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. İsmail Orhun Cebel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. İsmail Orhun Cebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yasin İlcan in the 46th minute of the match. Galatasaray were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after TokatspoRize's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mehmet Çağrı Siret took the corner. The corner led Galatasaray's Mehmet Çağrı Siret to fire away a dangerous shot which İsmail Orhun Cebel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The TokatspoRize players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galatasaray were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Savaşer Sönmezalp to make the kick off. The long shot by Mehmet Çağrı Siret in the 60th minute really tested İsmail Orhun Cebel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. İsmail Orhun Cebel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Bülent Kuter in the 62nd minute. Savaşer Sönmezalp scored 0-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İsmail Orhun Cebel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, İskender Ersavaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İsmail Orhun Cebel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cüneyd Ekin. İsmail Orhun Cebel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Bülent Kuter in the 79th minute. With a little luck, TokatspoRize's İsmail Orhun Cebel got control of the ball when Ahmet Bülent Kuter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Savaşer Sönmezalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gaffar Özaktuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaffar Özaktuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İsmail Orhun Cebel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İsmail Orhun Cebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savaşer Sönmezalp in the 91st minute of the match. Tuna Özbil came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by TokatspoRize's Battal Çoğaş. But to his dismay, Battal Çoğaş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 97 played minutes TokatspoRize got a freekick which was hit by Saadettin Ersalmış. Galatasaray played a much better game than TokatspoRize and deserved their victory. The TokatspoRize players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
