Ahmet Turan Buğrahan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selman Özay, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selman Özay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Halil İbrahim Tekecan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The corner ended in Emrullah İpekli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Trabzonspor's Tayfur İftihar did a great save. 28 minutes into the match, Aksaray's Aras Okutman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tayfur İftihar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Ahmet Korcan Songur made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Aksaray's Ahmet Turan Buğrahan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Muammer Kiyas to strike the kick off in the second half. Trabzonspor's Muammer Kiyas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Korcan Songur looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ahmet Turan Buğrahan. Metin Çiftçioğlu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tayfur İftihar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aras Okutman went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 93rd minute, Ahmet Korcan Songur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trabzonspor's Tayfur İftihar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aras Okutman in the 97th minute of play. The Aksaray fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Trabzonspor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
