An unexpectedly hard shot by Zekeriya Tanyeli in the 74th minute of play forced mithatyilmaz's goalkeeper Özkan İzhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Hakkı Muren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Öztürk Şahap having to interfere.
