Köksal Özdoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tayfur Gerdaneri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dereli JK's zone, Olcay Orkun Serter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayfur Gerdaneri came out of the goal and Olcay Orkun Serter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Merya SK's Baha Sarıalp got a free kick in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bektaş Veli Yetişbey got free with Bora Ülkü in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Dereli JK booed when Merya SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hıncal Beysun didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Osman Uluberk got free with Bora Ülkü in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Dereli JK's Bircan Yalınalp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bora Ülkü. Bora Ülkü yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Merya SK's Fazıl Gariboğlu got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Merya SK's goal looked a bit too open when Bircan Yalınalp came free, but Bora Ülkü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Dereli JK's Bircan Yalınalp dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Mehmet Osman Uluberk struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Bora Ülkü didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dereli JK. Bircan Yalınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Ülkü having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bircan Yalınalp made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Merya SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Özsahin to maneuver through the defense. Bircan Yalınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Ülkü having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Mehmet Osman Uluberk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dereli JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 61st minute, Hıncal Beysun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dereli JK's Tayfur Gerdaneri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Dereli JK from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Olcay Orkun Serter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Olcay Orkun Serter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merya SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olcay Orkun Serter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bircan Yalınalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bircan Yalınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bora Ülkü having to interfere. Bircan Yalınalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes, Dereli JK's Bektaş Veli Yetişbey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bora Ülkü came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dereli JK reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Özsahin in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tayfur Gerdaneri saved Dereli JK from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Merya SK's Hıncal Beysun got a free kick in the 86th minute. Mehmet Özsahin scored 3-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tayfur Gerdaneri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Hıncal Beysun collided with one of Dereli JK's players - so bad that he fractured his nose. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Battal Gazi Özdoruk during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Merya SK booed when Dereli JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battal Gazi Özdoruk didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Dereli JK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
