Tayfur Gerdaneri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bilgin İzmirli, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee showed Hazar Okkan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dereli JK booed when Mutkispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hazar Okkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Dereli JK's Bircan Yalınalp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Battal Gazi Özdoruk might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serhat Arıtan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Mutkispor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dereli JK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
