Uluç Sabahaddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Köksal Özdoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Mehmet Özsahin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uluç Sabahaddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mehmet Özsahin was the one to do the kick off. Merya SK's Bora Ülkü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sadri Orkutay in the 94th minute of play. Olcay Orkun Serter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Uluç Sabahaddin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chants of Merya SK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as HeRo SK had held the ball for most of the match.
