After a rather tough play, Merya SK's Aşkın Olgunsoy got a free kick in the 11th minute. The supporters of Merya SK booed when Karliova JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayrullah Çağlayan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Köksal Özdoğan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Merya SK's goalkeeper Bora Ülkü had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mümtazer Engintalay. After a rather tough play, Karliova JK's Hayrullah Çağlayan got a free kick in the 24th minute. Bora Ülkü was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tuna Semavi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Merya SK's goalkeeper Bora Ülkü had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Hamdi Bayezit. Sungur Akbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Köksal Özdoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeki Durkaya to make the kick off. Sungur Akbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Orkun Serter in the 52nd minute of play. Bora Ülkü took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuna Semavi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Olcay Orkun Serter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Köksal Özdoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Karliova JK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tuna Semavi hit a great ball. Sungur Akbal made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Mehmet Özsahin sent off a good shot on target. Hakkı Onur Attaroğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hakkı Onur Attaroğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
