Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Barbaros Mülayim started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Barbaros Mülayim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eray Tugay having to interfere. Eray Tugay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Orhan Asalet, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as izmirgençlik's Bilge Baysoy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tayfun Baloğlu. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. If Mustafa Kemal Ongen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Menderes's Tayfun Baloğlu got control of the ball when Mustafa Kemal Ongen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Menderes booed when izmirgençlik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. İldeniz Uzhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Menderes's Fahri Özalpman got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, izmirgençlik's Mustafa Kemal Ongen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tayfun Baloğlu. Tayfun Baloğlu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bilge Baysoy to strike the kick off in the second half. Bilge Baysoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayfun Baloğlu having to interfere. Mustafa Kemal Ongen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Barbaros Mülayim might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eray Tugay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barbaros Mülayim ran back to his position shaking his head. Mustafa Kemal Ongen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tayfun Baloğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Eray Tugay made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Mustafa Orhan Asalet sent off a good shot on target. Bilge Baysoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayfun Baloğlu having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Menderes's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Kemal Ongen came free, but Tayfun Baloğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Menderes's zone, Bilge Baysoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayfun Baloğlu came out of the goal and Bilge Baysoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aykan Özdener's late challenge caught a izmirgençlik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aykan Özdener helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of izmirgençlik booed when Menderes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aykan Özdener didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bilge Baysoy took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tayfun Baloğlu. Tayfun Baloğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mustafa Kemal Ongen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the izmirgençlik players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
