Bilge Baysoy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Balaban Candeğer having to make a save. If Bilge Baysoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mustafa Kemal Ongen came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the izmirgençlik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Kemal Ongen couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bilge Baysoy in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Balaban Candeğer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. izmirgençlik's Mustafa Kemal Ongen got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Bilge Baysoy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Balaban Candeğer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eray Tugay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ercan Esir in the 31st minute. Ercan Esir took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eray Tugay. Balaban Candeğer came out of the goal and Mustafa Kemal Ongen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mustafa Kemal Ongen charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mustafa Kemal Ongen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mustafa Kemal Ongen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Balaban Candeğer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. Berkem Baybars kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Celil Süvarioğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Eray Tugay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Nasir Beyhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Celil Süvarioğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bilge Baysoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Mustafa Kemal Ongen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eray Tugay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Nasir Beyhan in the 92nd minute of the match.
