A wasted opportunity for Polonezköy JK. 27 minutes into the match, Mersin's goal looked a bit too open when Sercan Kuman came free, but Taner İplikçi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kamber Satıkbuğra came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mersin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kamber Satıkbuğra couldn't finish the play. Ercüment Akbaşak's late challenge caught a Mersin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ercüment Akbaşak helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Polonezköy JK got a freekick which was hit by Ercüment Akbaşak. Kamber Satıkbuğra took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Soner Nuri. Soner Nuri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Eyüp Özbil came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Mersin fans jumped to their feet. In the 42nd minute, Ulu Akdeniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genco İpekdal hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ahmet Bedri Özbey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Soner Nuri having to make a save. Ulu Akdeniz in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Soner Nuri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sercan Kuman was the one to do the kick off. Cenk Gökyüzü lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 52nd minute, one of Mersin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mersin. The goalkeeper, Taner İplikçi, was totally fooled by Polonezköy JK's Hafız Cansefa, who 55 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sercan Kuman in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taner İplikçi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kamber Satıkbuğra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vural İlican's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Soner Nuri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Eyüp Özbil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taner İplikçi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sercan Kuman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Polonezköy JK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Turan Tura hit a great ball. Soner Nuri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vural İlican, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Polonezköy JK's zone, Vural İlican stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Soner Nuri came out of the goal and Vural İlican tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vural İlican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Soner Nuri having to interfere. Soner Nuri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamber Satıkbuğra in the 82nd minute of the match. Eyüp Özbil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vural İlican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th match minute, Mersin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özgün Ulukut to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Hafız Cansefa managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Although Mersin had been in control for most of the match, Polonezköy JK still came away with the win.
