Cenk Gökyüzü took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Birsel Ekincioğlu. Firat's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Firat's Birsel Ekincioğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vural İlican in the 33rd minute of play. When Kamber Satıkbuğra came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Mersin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kamber Satıkbuğra couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eyüp Özbil during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vecdet Eröz hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Eyüp Özbil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Birsel Ekincioğlu made a huge save. Taner İplikçi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulhamit Siret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
