After 2 played minutes Menemen got a freekick which was hit by Nejat Çetinoz. After 7 minutes, Hilmi Tolay made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Menemen's İshak Türkşen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Batıray İlteber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ahmet Hafiz Suha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Nejat Çetinoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Hafiz Suha. Yenimahalle bingölspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nejat Çetinoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ahmet Hafiz Suha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nejat Çetinoz in the 16th minute of play. Batıray İlteber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Batıray İlteber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Hafiz Suha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Yenimahalle bingölspor getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sadri Yücelen hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Sertel Vacit shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Hafiz Suha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nejat Çetinoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ahmet Hafiz Suha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Yenimahalle bingölspor's Abdülhak Taşcan got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ahmet Hafiz Suha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batıray İlteber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nejat Çetinoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Batıray İlteber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sadri Yücelen was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Sadri Yücelen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nejat Çetinoz in the 46th minute of play forced Yenimahalle bingölspor's goalkeeper Ahmet Hafiz Suha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Halit Tümerkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdülhak Taşcan in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İshak Türkşen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kılıçalp Ergüner hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Halit Tümerkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. İshak Türkşen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Menemen's Kılıçalp Ergüner got a free kick in the 59th minute. Batıray İlteber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Hafiz Suha having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Yenimahalle bingölspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilmi Tolay to maneuver through the defense. Nejat Çetinoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Hafiz Suha having to interfere. Ahmet Hafiz Suha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahtiyar Ocak, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The Menemen fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Menemen's Nejat Çetinoz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Menemen's Nejat Çetinoz got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Yenimahalle bingölspor's Ahmet Hafiz Suha got control of the ball when Batıray İlteber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Menemen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
