But to his dismay, İzzet Arslan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. İzzet Arslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Kara Kartal's Mehmet Akif İpekçi got control of the ball when İzzet Arslan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when İzzet Arslan got free with Mehmet Akif İpekçi in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. İlmi Semih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atak Özmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğaner Keşif having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet İlhan Korhan made a kick off. İskender Hidayettin's late challenge caught a kocaelispor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İskender Hidayettin helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Kara Kartal got a freekick which was hit by İskender Hidayettin. The kocaelispor fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kara Kartal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
