Atay Battal took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gürbüz Tarhan. Gürbüz Tarhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mücahit Boğatekin in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Menderes Uğursay saved Kula JK from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 52nd minute, Ümit Ege made a precise shot to the right of Menderes Uğursay. Kula JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Kazan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atay Battal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
