After having played for 5 minutes, Erdal Safir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ezine SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erdal Safir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gayrettepe's goalkeeper Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erdal Safir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hikmet Hükümran, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ersin Boratay in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ersin Boratay might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ersin Boratay ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ersin Boratay in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ersin Boratay in the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erdal Safir in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr saved Gayrettepe from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Armağan Cenan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ersin Boratay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doğa Vefa's late challenge caught a Ezine SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doğa Vefa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ezine SK booed when Gayrettepe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doğa Vefa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erdal Safir in the 43rd minute of the match. Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ersin Boratay in the 44th minute of play. Ersin Boratay struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ezine SK. Erdal Safir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Eren Suersan made the kick off in the second half. Eren Suersan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. It was a penalty for Gayrettepe! The referee gave Ezine SK a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sungurbey Kortan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gayrettepe's Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr. 1-2. In the 92nd minute Eren Suersan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayet Kılıçhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ersin Boratay came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ezine SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ersin Boratay couldn't finish the play. Ezine SK's Ersin Boratay got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erdal Safir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Cumhur Zübeyr having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Binali Tümenbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezine SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
