The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bektaş Tolgay to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bulut Kutlar came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Fırtına fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bulut Kutlar couldn't finish the play. If Ediz Coşkuner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, Erzurum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selçuk Baykutay to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Taşkın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Necmi Altuncuoğlu in the 66th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, Fırtına's Bulut Kutlar made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alpertunga Koçubey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orhan Türcan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Fırtına's Yakut İmdat got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yakut İmdat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alpertunga Koçubey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Fırtına played a much better game than Erzurum and deserved their victory. The Erzurum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
