Gediz's Enver Eraksan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Gediz from getting a goal against them. After having played for 5 minutes, Yusuf Bahadır Suersan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karagülle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yusuf Bahadır Suersan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yusuf Bahadır Suersan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes, Gediz's Ahmet Kadri Bayraktar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tamer Yaltırak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gediz reached it. 9 minutes into the match, Karagülle's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Nedim Balkoç came free, but Tamer Yaltırak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Ahmet Nedim Balkoç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tamer Yaltırak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Ege Paye got free with Enver Eraksan in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Battal Cüneyt Keykavus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enver Eraksan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Ahmet Nedim Balkoç struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Tamer Yaltırak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gediz. When Karagülle's Yusuf Bahadır Suersan in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gediz's goalie prevented a goal. After 33 played minutes Karagülle got a freekick which was hit by Halil Can Irmak. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Nedim Balkoç in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tamer Yaltırak saved Karagülle from getting behind. Tamer Yaltırak came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Gediz's Batu Cem Mücahit. But to his dismay, Batu Cem Mücahit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Yusuf Bahadır Suersan made the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Nedim Balkoç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamer Yaltırak having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Ahmet Nedim Balkoç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Karagülle's Tamer Yaltırak got control of the ball when Ahmet Nedim Balkoç tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match Gediz got a corner. Karagülle's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Nedim Balkoç ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Gediz's corner Batu Cem Mücahit fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tamer Yaltırak quite easily take care of the ball. Doğuş Umut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Tamer Yaltırak made a huge save. With a little luck, Karagülle's Tamer Yaltırak got control of the ball when Doğuş Umut tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yusuf Bahadır Suersan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Enver Eraksan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yusuf Bahadır Suersan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enver Eraksan having to make a save. After 81 played minutes Karagülle got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ege Paye. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Yusuf Bahadır Suersan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karagülle's supporters rose to their feet, but Yusuf Bahadır Suersan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enver Eraksan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ahmet Nedim Balkoç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enver Eraksan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Bahadır Suersan in the 93rd minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
