An unexpectedly hard shot by Latif Saye in the 25th minute of play forced Homra's goalkeeper Songurhan Kurban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cemil Cömert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bahadır Yıldız having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Erdemli's Songurhan Kurban threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Latif Saye, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle sounded Erdemli left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Homra.
