In the 4th match minute, EreğliSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mert Yavuzer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osman Nuri Torcan in the 8th minute of play forced EreğliSpor's goalkeeper Hakkı İskandil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Aydın Kahya fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Osman Nuri Torcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Ahmet Hisarcık put in a rough tackle. After 20 played minutes Zonguldakspor got a freekick which was hit by Derman Yeğiner. Hakkı İskandil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enis Behiç Ongar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 24 played minutes EreğliSpor got a freekick which was hit by Muhammet Salman. In the 25th minute of the match Eser Gerdaneri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hakkı İskandil skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, EreğliSpor's Mert Yavuzer got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Osman Nuri Torcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zonguldakspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Osman Nuri Torcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hakkı İskandil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Enis Behiç Ongar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the EreğliSpor defense, Enis Behiç Ongar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hakkı İskandil. The EreğliSpor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hakkı İskandil should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enis Behiç Ongar in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakkı İskandil saved EreğliSpor from getting behind. If Osman Nuri Torcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Zonguldakspor's Eser Gerdaneri got a free kick in the 40th minute. Dursun Ali İsmail showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Soner Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When İsmet Tugal came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the EreğliSpor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İsmet Tugal couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Zonguldakspor getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Derman Yeğiner hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İsmet Tugal to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Osman Nuri Torcan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hakkı İskandil. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. Hakkı İskandil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enis Behiç Ongar in the 63rd minute. Soner Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Soner Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Soner Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eser Gerdaneri, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hakkı İskandil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enis Behiç Ongar in the 71st minute. If Enis Behiç Ongar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind EreğliSpor's goalkeeper Hakkı İskandil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Mert Yavuzer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EreğliSpor and the Zonguldakspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zonguldakspor booed when EreğliSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mert Yavuzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. EreğliSpor's Hakkı İskandil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save EreğliSpor from getting a goal against them. Zonguldakspor's Osman Nuri Torcan got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, EreğliSpor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enis Behiç Ongar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Osman Nuri Torcan struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Hakkı İskandil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zonguldakspor. Enis Behiç Ongar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakkı İskandil having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osman Nuri Torcan in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakkı İskandil saved EreğliSpor from getting behind. Osman Nuri Torcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
