The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raşit Tanırcan hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Ceyhan Keskiner came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the İyonyalılar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceyhan Keskiner couldn't finish the play. If Veli Sermet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hakkı Devrim Ersezer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasım Pekalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kasım Pekalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, İyonyalılar's Yakup Ülkenur got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ahmet İlke Çinucen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceyhan Keskiner in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Kasım Pekalp reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hakkı Devrim Ersezer. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 40th minute, Yakup Ülkenur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Veli Sermet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakkı Devrim Ersezer having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Cabbar Tuncel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the batuhan2006 and the İyonyalılar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, batuhan2006's Cabbar Tuncel got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind batuhan2006's goalkeeper Ahmet İlke Çinucen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kasım Pekalp to strike the kick off in the second half. Veli Sermet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veli Sermet struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Hakkı Devrim Ersezer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for batuhan2006. Kasım Pekalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Veli Sermet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, İyonyalılar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atabek Acarbey to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute of the match Seçkin Özerdem shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hakkı Devrim Ersezer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Yakup Ülkenur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The İyonyalılar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Kasım Pekalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Hakkı Devrim Ersezer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Ceyhan Keskiner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet İlke Çinucen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
