The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Abuzer Şıran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fahri Togay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abuzer Şıran's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, Sermet Delioğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mustafa Birol Öztanır was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 14thth minute of the game Sermet Delioğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neons's Mustafa Birol Öztanır was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ahmet Hasan Sahat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahçelievler FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Hasan Sahat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Birol Öztanır breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giray Nazmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mustafa Birol Öztanır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Birol Öztanır didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sermet Delioğlu went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Neons's Mustafa Birol Öztanır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sermet Delioğlu in the 30th minute of play. Sermet Delioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The throw-in from Melih Cevdet Felek in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bahçelievler FK's Mustafa Cumhur Oksu. After some careless play in the Neons defense, Giray Nazmi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Birol Öztanır. The Neons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Birol Öztanır should have stopped the shot. Giray Nazmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Birol Öztanır having to interfere. Mustafa Birol Öztanır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sermet Delioğlu in the 63rd minute of the match. Fahri Togay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abuzer Şıran's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Beşir Beycan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Birol Öztanır having to interfere. Çelikan Kadrican got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alperen Aydın. Bahçelievler FK made a substitution. Göktuğ Başer replaced Sermet Delioğlu. In the 88th minute Göktuğ Başer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Birol Öztanır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göktuğ Başer succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. When Göktuğ Başer came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Bahçelievler FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göktuğ Başer couldn't finish the play. Musa Tanyol charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Musa Tanyol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bahçelievler FK booed when Neons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Musa Tanyol didn't get a good kick on the ball.
