Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ender Bera kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Yakup Kadri Pektaşi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ender Bera, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 23 played minutes Rize got a freekick which was hit by Seyfi Mahçup. Rauf Özveri struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tasköprü. Peker Erdönmez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rauf Özveri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tasköprü's Peker Erdönmez got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ender Bera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rize's supporters rose to their feet, but Ender Bera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yakup Kadri Pektaşi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rauf Özveri in the 37th minute of play. Rauf Özveri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ender Bera in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yakup Kadri Pektaşi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cevahir Çağar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakup Kadri Pektaşi having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rauf Özveri to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Rauf Özveri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 played minutes Rize got a freekick which was hit by Talha Mahmut. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Rauf Özveri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tasköprü's supporters rose to their feet, but Rauf Özveri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the game, Tasköprü's Peker Erdönmez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peker Erdönmez in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hüsnü Altuncuoğlu saved Rize from getting behind. In the 67th match minute, Tasköprü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bünyamin Malkoçoğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th match minute, Tasköprü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Oğuz Özakay to maneuver through the defense. Yakup Kadri Pektaşi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cevahir Çağar in the 71st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rize eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
