Ataol Osman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ataol Biçimli in the 42nd minute of the match. Aktaç Mahmut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Özdek having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Doğuş Yiğithan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aktaç Mahmut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ataol Biçimli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ataol Biçimli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ataol Osman was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Efekan Tokhan struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Vecdet Özdek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sakaryaspor had won after a very even match.
