Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Batıhan Demirezen started the match with the kick off. FENERBAHÇE's Abdullah Süleyman got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FENERBAHÇE's Göktuğ Akyel got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, A.S ROMA's Birsel Yoruç got a free kick in the 8th minute. Abdullah Süleyman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdullah Süleyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hazar Harmandalı having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, A.S ROMA's goal looked a bit too open when Abdullah Süleyman came free, but Hazar Harmandalı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Göktuğ Akyel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hazar Harmandalı. A.S ROMA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göktuğ Akyel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A.S ROMA's Hazar Harmandalı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdullah Süleyman in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Acar Erdemer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.S ROMA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FENERBAHÇE the free kick. A collision led to A.S ROMA getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Acar Erdemer hit a great ball. Fatih Özgulec was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hazar Harmandalı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktuğ Akyel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göktuğ Akyel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes A.S ROMA got a freekick which was hit by Akil Şenbay. Göktuğ Akyel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hazar Harmandalı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batıhan Demirezen got free with Nusret Adılhan in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abdullah Süleyman might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hazar Harmandalı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdullah Süleyman ran back to his position shaking his head. The A.S ROMA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FENERBAHÇE were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göktuğ Akyel to make the kick off. Abdullah Süleyman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Hazar Harmandalı made a huge save. The supporters of A.S ROMA booed when FENERBAHÇE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatih Özgulec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdullah Süleyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hazar Harmandalı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.S ROMA's Hazar Harmandalı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save A.S ROMA from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, A.S ROMA's Hazar Harmandalı got control of the ball when Abdullah Süleyman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute Göktuğ Akyel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hazar Harmandalı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Abdullah Süleyman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Göktuğ Akyel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hazar Harmandalı made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Abdullah Süleyman sent off a good shot on target. Nusret Adılhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karhan Temizer in the 78th minute of the match. Abdullah Süleyman struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Hazar Harmandalı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENERBAHÇE. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Göktuğ Akyel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FENERBAHÇE's supporters rose to their feet, but Göktuğ Akyel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hazar Harmandalı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abdullah Süleyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hazar Harmandalı having to interfere. When FENERBAHÇE's Göktuğ Akyel in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.S ROMA's goalie prevented a goal. Abdullah Süleyman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hazar Harmandalı having to make a save. When Abdullah Süleyman came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FENERBAHÇE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdullah Süleyman couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Batıhan Demirezen during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Batıhan Demirezen hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. FENERBAHÇE's Göktuğ Akyel got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FENERBAHÇE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
