The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 25th minute of the match, Cem Özbilek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mustafa Emre Akalp was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ufuk Kudret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güzelbahce's supporters rose to their feet, but Ufuk Kudret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Emre Akalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mustafa Cumhur Baştürk hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Keramettin Candaner hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Güzelbahce's Tuncer Ongu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a rather tough play, Dikilitas's Keramettin Candaner got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ufuk Kudret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Dikilitas defense, Ufuk Kudret kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Emre Akalp. The Dikilitas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Emre Akalp should have stopped the shot. Ufuk Kudret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Emre Akalp having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, Güzelbahce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sezai Mutluer to maneuver through the defense. Ufuk Kudret took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Emre Akalp. Mustafa Emre Akalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 84th minute Garip Altın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kutlu Tacik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeynel Habiboğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Emre Akalp having to interfere. Mustafa Emre Akalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ufuk Kudret, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
