Gürkan Aköz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Boran Önel in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gürkan Aköz saved Ikizdere from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Enver Razi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Ikizdere's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Boran Önel came free, but Gürkan Aköz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Abdulvahit Safir fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mustafa Yaşar Maksum, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baybars Akyazıcı got free with Mustafa Yaşar Maksum in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Boran Önel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Gürkan Aköz managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when FC KAVAKLI's Ahmet Boran Önel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The FC KAVAKLI supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC KAVAKLI would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
