Mert spor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Habib Suyurgal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayram Eslem in the 21st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birant Arpacı during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Mert spor got a freekick which was hit by Birant Arpacı. With an all-out effort, Cayiralan's Habib Suyurgal threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bayram Eslem, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olgun Ünalp kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Hıdır Yahya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mustafa Orhan Tunak. Cayiralan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hıdır Yahya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Olgun Ünalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Galip Öztanır stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cayiralan's Mustafa Orhan Tunak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hıdır Yahya in the 51st minute of play. Hıdır Yahya was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ali Galip Öztanır fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Orhan Tunak having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Mert spor's Mustafa Birol Altınpınar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Orhan Tunak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Olgun Ünalp struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Habib Suyurgal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cayiralan. Gaffar Özgurel hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Habib Suyurgal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uğuralp Uzalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 84 minutes of play Mert spor's Birant Arpacı was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Olgun Ünalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Habib Suyurgal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mert spor's zone, Bayram Eslem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Habib Suyurgal came out of the goal and Bayram Eslem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ercüment Zeynur fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayiralan's protests and gave Ercüment Zeynur a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Mert spor's Ali Galip Öztanır got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mustafa Orhan Tunak. If Bayram Eslem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Cayiralan had been in control for most of the match, Mert spor still came away with the win.
