Ramiz Uğuz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aykut İrfan. Devrekhane SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bayhan Erginay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aykut İrfan having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aşkın Tezalp to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ferit Okbudun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cubuklu's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferit Okbudun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aykut İrfan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, Ferit Okbudun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aykut İrfan, 0-1. Cubuklu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
