The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ediz Tayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Korcan Doğan in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Dicle JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çağrı Pektaşi to maneuver through the defense. Zekeriya Zati's late challenge caught a Denizlispor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zekeriya Zati helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Denizlispor a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Denizhan Hallaç, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dicle JK's Ediz Tayman. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Denizlispor's zone, Umut Şükür stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekai Akşit came out of the goal and Umut Şükür tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zekai Akşit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ümit Yağmurdereli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediz Tayman having to interfere. 27 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Denizlispor's Ahmet Korcan Doğan fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Zekai Akşit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Ümit Yağmurdereli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ediz Tayman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Numan Talaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denizlispor and the Dicle JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Korcan Doğan to make the kick off. Ediz Tayman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Korcan Doğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Dicle JK's goalkeeper Ediz Tayman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ümit Yağmurdereli. Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Zekai Akşit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dicle JK. If Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zekai Akşit prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Denizlispor players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Dicle JK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
