Mengen sk's Ramiz Vehbi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Mengen sk from getting a goal against them. After 22 played minutes, Semdinli's Çelik Ergazi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramiz Vehbi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Semdinli reached it. Sakut Alansoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şaban Ünveren, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aziz Buminhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mengen sk's Ramiz Vehbi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebati Ilgınlı in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mengen sk's zone, Aziz Buminhan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiz Vehbi came out of the goal and Aziz Buminhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebati Ilgınlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Besim Cevizci in the 62nd minute of play forced Semdinli's goalkeeper Sakut Alansoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Semdinli's Sebati Ilgınlı suffered a concussion in the 65th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 65 minutes into the game, Köksal Safvetullah was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mengen sk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Semdinli the free kick. When Çelik Ergazi fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semdinli's protests and gave Çelik Ergazi a yellow card for diving instead. Çelik Ergazi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Coşkun Ötüken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Besim Cevizci in the 80th minute of play forced Semdinli's goalkeeper Sakut Alansoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şaban Ünveren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Coşkun Ötüken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Semdinli's supporters rose to their feet, but Coşkun Ötüken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiz Vehbi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute Coşkun Ötüken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiz Vehbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şaban Ünveren came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sakut Alansoy could save by the left post. Aziz Buminhan got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ramiz Vehbi handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Semdinli's Hızır Reyyan got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aziz Buminhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
