In the 5th minute Raik Geçimoğlu suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Kutlualp Nesefi fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semdinli's protests and gave Kutlualp Nesefi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Kutlualp Nesefi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakut Alansoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umut Şükür, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Ediz Tayman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebati Ilgınlı in the 12th minute. If Sebati Ilgınlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Sebati Ilgınlı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Semdinli's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebati Ilgınlı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediz Tayman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Çağrı Pektaşi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecevit Sirri kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Ecevit Sirri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Umut Şükür managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dicle JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umut Şükür was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Umut Şükür left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dicle JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 36 minutes into the game, Gökmen Unat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dicle JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Semdinli the free kick. In the 36th minute, one of Dicle JK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dicle JK. In the 42nd minute Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakut Alansoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sakut Alansoy came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Dicle JK's Umut Şükür. But to his dismay, Umut Şükür quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

With a little luck, Semdinli's Sakut Alansoy got control of the ball when Umut Şükür tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes Dicle JK got a freekick which was hit by Ecevit Sirri. Nazım Barkın was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Semdinli's Sakut Alansoy got control of the ball when Umut Şükür tried to sneak it across the goal line. Umut Şükür could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Sakut Alansoy made a huge save. In the 71st match minute, Semdinli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coşkun Ötüken to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sebati Ilgınlı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ediz Tayman was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Semdinli's Aziz Buminhan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediz Tayman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Songurbey Deren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dicle JK's Ediz Tayman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Buminhan in the 90th minute of play. Umut Şükürs short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Sakut Alansoy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sakut Alansoy acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Songurbey Deren. Dicle JK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
