With an extended leg and a bit of luck Halil İbrahim Şahsar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Mazhar Ülkümen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halil İbrahim Şahsar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tansel Cesur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29th play minutes Tansel Cesur shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Halil İbrahim Şahsar and just under the crossbar into goal. Istanbulls's Tansel Cesur got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Tansel Cesur sped through Lacin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Halil İbrahim Şahsar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa İzzet Onal during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aydemir Tavil made a kick off. Erdoğan Işıldar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil İbrahim Şahsar having to interfere. Erdoğan Işıldar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Halil İbrahim Şahsar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arif Çelebi Uluman's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Saadettin İdris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haldun Hacıbeyoğlu having to interfere. Tansel Cesur was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Istanbulls's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Halil İbrahim Şahsar made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Mazhar Ülkümen sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mazhar Ülkümen got free with Halil İbrahim Şahsar in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mazhar Ülkümen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Tansel Cesur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tansel Cesur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil İbrahim Şahsar having to interfere. Istanbulls's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
