After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Emirhan Ruzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selçuk Balaban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emirhan Ruzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Emirhan Ruzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, Sivas's Türkeş Kutlubay tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Necip Erserim took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Selçuk Balaban. Selçuk Balaban dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Sivas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rafettin Kutlutekin hit a great ball. Umur Tolgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Yunus Ufuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Sivas got a freekick which was hit by Aydın Uzma. After 35 played minutes Istanbul got a freekick which was hit by Rıfat Balatekin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Necip Erserim in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Selçuk Balaban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Umur Tolgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Yunus Ufuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emirhan Ruzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The wind increased when Necip Erserim made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Necip Erserim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Selçuk Balaban was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Sivas's Emirhan Ruzi got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Istanbul's Umur Tolgan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yunus Ufuk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Umur Tolgan came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Istanbul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umur Tolgan couldn't finish the play. If Yahya Türcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anıl Berk Tugay kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Yunus Ufuk came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Istanbul's Umur Tolgan. But to his dismay, Umur Tolgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Emirhan Ruzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yunus Ufuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Edip Taycan, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Mehmet Edip Taycan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yunus Ufuk having to interfere. Umur Tolgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Umur Tolgan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yunus Ufuk having to make a save. If Mehmet Edip Taycan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rıfat Balatekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Yunus Ufuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sivas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Istanbul side.
