After 42 played minutes, Kinik JK's Beşir Zeyni shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atabey İnceman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kinik JK reached it. Tugay İlbey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 74th match minute, Savur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Suat İbiş to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savur's goalkeeper Atabey İnceman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Tugay İlbey came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Kinik JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tugay İlbey couldn't finish the play. If Güral Ümit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gencal Soyselçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kinik JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Gencal Soyselçuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atabey İnceman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute Tugay İlbey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atabey İnceman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gencal Soyselçuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kinik JK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Savur to win.
