After a defensive mix-up in Vakfikebir's zone, Ali Kağan Sargın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özmen Pınar came out of the goal and Ali Kağan Sargın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kağan Vefa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Seyfettin Gürtuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match, Kağan Vefa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Seyfettin Gürtuna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kağan Vefa to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Ali Kağan Sargın got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 74th minute Kağan Vefa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyfettin Gürtuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdurrezzak Özyay's late challenge caught a Baltalimani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdurrezzak Özyay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Vakfikebir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdurrezzak Özyay to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vakfikebir booed when Baltalimani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sercan Teber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Kağan Sargın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Özmen Pınar made a huge save.
