An unexpectedly hard shot by Necdet Balabey in the 9th minute of play forced Malatya's goalkeeper Okanay Saatçioğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When İnanç Rehber fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kedicikspor's protests and gave İnanç Rehber a yellow card for diving instead. İnanç Rehber kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Güven Uğursoy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aktan Devlettin, 1-0. Necdet Balabey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Malatya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Güven Uğursoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute Güven Uğursoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aktan Devlettin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kedicikspor's goalkeeper Aktan Devlettin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Malatya booed when Kedicikspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulusi Kara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes Malatya got a freekick which was hit by Cihat Tunçhan. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aktan Devlettin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 72 minutes of play Kedicikspor's İnanç Rehber was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 73rd minute, İnanç Rehber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Güven Uğursoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aktan Devlettin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Kedicikspor's goal looked a bit too open when Güven Uğursoy came free, but Aktan Devlettin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
