Ahmet Bülent Sacid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naci Tolgay having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Arda Ozan Aytekin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Naci Tolgay. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Naci Tolgay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arda Ozan Aytekin in the 18th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Ragıp Tokuztuğ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arda Ozan Aytekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Çetin Uzsan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arpacay's supporters rose to their feet, but Çetin Uzsan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güneş Hidayettin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Güneş Hidayettin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çetin Uzsan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to FENERBAHÇE getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kadim Sena hit a great ball. Güneş Hidayettin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mürsel Torkal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Bülent Sacid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Naci Tolgay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Çetin Uzsan notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FENERBAHÇE's Güneş Hidayettin. Güneş Hidayettin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Güneş Hidayettin was a little too slow when Mürsel Torkal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-2. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE booed when Arpacay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baki Zahit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Arda Ozan Aytekin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naci Tolgay was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Güneş Hidayettin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mürsel Torkal in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE booed when Arpacay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytunç Babayiğit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Bülent Sacid struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Naci Tolgay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENERBAHÇE. FENERBAHÇE's Güneş Hidayettin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mürsel Torkal in the 81st minute of play. Mürsel Torkal kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Çetin Uzsan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Güneş Hidayettin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
