Öztürk Selmi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediz Erez in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Gökmen Tanbey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Öztürk Selmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Öztürk Selmi came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mesut Gençlik SK's Mahsun Tümkurt. But to his dismay, Mahsun Tümkurt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Mahsun Tümkurt struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Öztürk Selmi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesut Gençlik SK. Öztürk Selmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökmen Tanbey in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ediz Erez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesut Gençlik SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ediz Erez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Öztürk Selmi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bahcelievler SK's Öztürk Selmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökmen Tanbey in the 34th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Gökmen Tanbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahcelievler SK's Öztürk Selmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulu Tanaltay kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Gökmen Tanbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Okan İzgü was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahcelievler SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mesut Gençlik SK the free kick. The supporters of Mesut Gençlik SK booed when Bahcelievler SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okan İzgü didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gökmen Tanbey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Öztürk Selmi was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half Bahcelievler SK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Nusrettin Karan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58thth minute of the game Gökmen Tanbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahcelievler SK's Öztürk Selmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andaç Şahsuvar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nusrettin Karan in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bahcelievler SK's zone, Gökmen Tanbey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Öztürk Selmi came out of the goal and Gökmen Tanbey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mesut Gençlik SK booed when Bahcelievler SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şensoy Mutlutekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Bahcelievler SK getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Necdet Nazım was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, one of Mesut Gençlik SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mesut Gençlik SK. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Şenel Boğatekin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahcelievler SK were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mesut Gençlik SK's much stronger midfield.
