In the 9th minute of the match Mustafa Birol Sonalp sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mustafa Kemal Akatay skillfully saved the ball. Cezmi Paşa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Çağrı Onguner in the 11th minute. Andaç Kutlay's late challenge caught a Pamukova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andaç Kutlay helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Yıldız SK's Andaç Kutlay got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ercüment Başsoy charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ercüment Başsoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Ahmet Ege Sefir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rüstem Cumhur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mustafa Kemal Akatay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pamukova booed when Yıldız SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Birol Sonalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Yağız Oksay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yıldız SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pamukova the free kick. Yağız Oksay hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Pamukova's Mustafa Kemal Akatay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olcay Peker in the 36th minute of play. Mustafa Kemal Akatay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rüstem Cumhur in the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pamukova's zone, Olcay Peker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Kemal Akatay came out of the goal and Olcay Peker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Pamukova defense, Rüstem Cumhur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Kemal Akatay. The Pamukova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Kemal Akatay should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Hüseyin Turan Kutsoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cezmi Paşa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hüseyin Turan Kutsoy ran back to his position shaking his head. 55 minutes into the match, Yıldız SK's Rüstem Cumhur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Kemal Akatay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rüstem Cumhur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mustafa Kemal Akatay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pamukova's Ercüment Başsoy got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rüstem Cumhur in the 74th minute of play forced Pamukova's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal Akatay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Osman Hafız charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Pamukova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüseyin Turan Kutsoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rüstem Cumhur in the 90th minute of play forced Pamukova's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal Akatay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olcay Peker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yıldız SK played a much better game than Pamukova and deserved their victory. The Pamukova players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
